About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support throughout the cancer journey.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse to take on a challenging role that requires strong clinical leadership skills, a deep understanding of lung cancer, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing treatment for all types of lung cancer, including diagnostic, treatment, and supportive pathways.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines
  • Promote education and awareness about lung cancer among patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant level 3 post-registration course or ENB Course
  • Teaching qualification
  • Relevant 1st level degree
  • Extensive experience of change management
  • In-depth understanding of quality improvement techniques
  • Clear understanding of clinical governance
  • Up-to-date knowledge of professional and political issues
