About the Role

The Clinical Breast Cancer Specialist Nurse will be responsible for delivering specialist nursing care to patients treated for breast cancer. This includes developing and implementing follow-up care plans, providing clinical leadership, and ensuring high-quality personalized care consistent with the Macmillan Right by You Principles.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the open access follow-up of patients treated for breast cancer in conjunction with the advanced nurse practitioner and other team members.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, ensuring they receive a high standard of care.
  • Conduct holistic needs assessments at key points in a patient's journey and provide supportive conversations as needed.
  • Deliver personalized care plans and treatment summaries to all patients.
  • Work closely with the Macmillan team to provide appropriate information and interventions.
