About Shelter Scotland

A home is a fundamental human need, as essential as education or healthcare. Yet over a million people in Scotland struggle on a daily basis with homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. Our mission is to defend the right to a safe home and to combat the social injustice at the core of the escalating housing emergency.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Housing Rights Worker to join our team. As a Housing Rights Worker, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality housing advice and advocacy in our offices, in community settings and remotely. You will develop relationships within communities, engage with stakeholders, and influence decision-makers to drive systemic change.

About You

We are looking for someone with relevant experience, excellent time management skills, and the ability to listen to, engage and empower individuals and communities. You will be a creative problem solver, adept at presenting information and arguments in clear and compelling ways, and proficient in using Word, Excel, email, the internet and in-house CRM systems.

What We Offer

We offer a dynamic and inclusive work environment, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people affected by homelessness and bad housing. You will be part of a team that is passionate about our cause and committed to achieving our mission.
