About the Role

Hestia Housing Support is seeking a skilled Housing Management Specialist to join our Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our housing management functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an allocated patch of properties for housing management functions, ensuring the health and safety of the property, maintenance, and voids control are kept according to policy.
  • Manage service users' rent/charges collection, arrears avoidance control, and debt management.
  • Liaise with partner Registered Providers, ensuring adherence to Management Agreements.
  • Manage service users' DWP, Revenue, and Benefits.
  • Work with the Rents team to establish new service users' rent accounts and support them in applying for welfare benefits, including housing benefit and personal charge payments.
  • Undertake any necessary legal action, including leading on the pre-action protocol.
  • Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reports to your line Manager.
  • Undertake daily/weekly/monthly building health and safety checks.
  • Work in partnership with support workers, Local Authorities, and referrers to maintain the safety and security of the building.
