Teaching Assistant

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. This challenging yet rewarding role provides an excellent opportunity to work with children and make a positive impact on their educational journey.
About the PositionThis exciting opportunity involves working closely with a Year 1 class at a Primary School in East Lancashire. You will be responsible for providing vital support to the class teacher, assisting with learning activities and ensuring the effective learning and development of pupils.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and promote pupil progress
- Provide one-on-one and small group learning support for pupils, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs
- Assist with break time and playground supervision, promoting a safe and inclusive environment
The salary for this role is up to £17.71 per hour. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, you will also benefit from ongoing professional development and training opportunities, as well as a supportive and welcoming school environment.
What We Require- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting
- Relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
