Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and resourceful SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in Wimborne, Dorset. As a valued member of the staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs.
About the SchoolThe school is a Foundation Special School and College catering for children and young people between the ages of four and nineteen who experience learning difficulties, including complex needs, and those with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Job Description- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist in planning and delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning activities.
- Assist with classroom management, including supporting positive behaviour and helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in SEN support.
We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including 7 weeks statutory holiday pay.
Requirements- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to respond to varying student needs.
