About the Role

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join their esteemed Early Intervention in Psychosis team. This role offers a unique opportunity for medical professionals to provide expert care and treatment to individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing patients on the community caseload, contributing to the on-call rota for the wider General Adult Service, and providing medical leadership to the multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, knowledge of the specialty, and the ability to manage complex cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and effective care and treatment to patients
  • Contribute to the development of the service through research and support
  • Provide medical leadership to the multidisciplinary team
  • Assess and manage patients on the community caseload
  • Contribute to the on-call rota for the wider General Adult Service

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment

Salary

The salary for this role is £87,660 - £110,683 per annum, depending on experience. However, we are offering a competitive salary of around £90,000 due to the exceptional location and high demand for experienced healthcare professionals in the area.
