About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse to join our Children's Services team in Ipswich Hospital. As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in coordinating the nursing staff and patient flow in the department, providing High Dependency Care for children who meet this criteria.

Key Responsibilities

  • To contribute towards the overall management, leadership and development of the Unit and Directorate.
  • To facilitate high standards of professional practice and the delivery of care by working within Trust, Directorate and professional guidelines and protocols.
  • To provide a safe and welcoming environment for children, young people and their families, working within available resources.

Experience

  • Proven Band 5 experience
  • Experience of ward management

Qualifications

  • RSCN / RN (Child) (Part 8 or 15 of the NMC Register)
  • High Dependency Care Qualification
  • Teaching & Assessing qualification
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS/ EPLS)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development through portfolio
