About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Band 5 Night Nurse to join our team in the Children's Unit at Ipswich Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for coordinating the nursing team and patient flow in the department, providing high-quality care to children who require High Dependency Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • To contribute to the overall management, leadership, and development of the Unit and Directorate.
  • To facilitate high standards of professional practice and the delivery of care by working within Trust, Directorate, and professional guidelines and protocols.
  • To provide a safe and welcoming environment for children, young people, and their families, working within available resources.

Person SpecificationExperience
  • Proven experience as a Band 5 nurse with experience of ward management.
Qualifications
  • RSCN / RN (Child) (Part 8 or 15 of the NMC Register).
  • High Dependency Care Qualification.
  • Teaching & Assessing qualification.
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS/ EPLS).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development through portfolio.
Salary and Benefits

We offer an estimated salary of £26,055 - £34,874 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, unsocial hours payments, and 27 days annual leave.
