About the Role

The Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lead Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for the overall management of the Adult Therapy Team, including both professionally qualified and unqualified psychology/psychotherapy staff.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation, management and leadership of high-quality specialist clinical psychology and psychotherapy services to service users referred to Adult Eating Disorder Service. This includes responsibility for planning and provision of psychology services that serve this population in community and inpatient settings.

Key duties will include exercising operational responsibility for these services, ensuring appropriate governance, financial management and clinical leadership. You will also be responsible for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the specialist outpatient psychological therapy services and ensuring that systems are in place and working effectively for the clinical and professional supervision and support of all other psychologists and staff within the services for which you have designated professional responsibility.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate (or equivalent) training in clinical / counselling and current registration with the HCPC as a registered psychologist. Substantial experience in an Eating Disorder Service and providing clinical and professional leadership to psychologists is also essential. A leadership qualification or training is desirable.
