About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our team at West London NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology and neuropsychology, with experience in working with a wide range of client groups and presenting with varying levels of clinical severity.

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology, with a strong understanding of neuropsychology, neurorehabilitation, lifespan developmental psychology, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology. They will also have experience in teaching, training, and professional and clinical supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the provision of a specialist neuropsychology service for patients with a neurological condition receiving neurorehabilitation on the Charing Cross Neurorehabilitation Unit (CNRU). They will also provide clinical supervision and line management to a band 8A Clinical Psychologist and an Assistant Psychologist working on CNRU, as well as offering placement opportunities for Trainee Clinical Psychologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the provision of a specialist neuropsychology service for patients with a neurological condition receiving neurorehabilitation on the Charing Cross Neurorehabilitation Unit (CNRU)
  • Provide clinical supervision and line management to a band 8A Clinical Psychologist and an Assistant Psychologist working on CNRU
  • Offer placement opportunities for Trainee Clinical Psychologists
  • Provide staff consultation, teaching, and training to other members of the multidisciplinary team
Requirements
  • Doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology
  • Strong understanding of neuropsychology, neurorehabilitation, lifespan developmental psychology, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology
  • Experience in teaching, training, and professional and clinical supervision
  • Experience of working with a wide range of client groups and presenting with varying levels of clinical severity
