About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Site Manager with a strong Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) bias to oversee a high-profile hospital refurbishment project based in North London. As the Lead Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of the project, managing both site activities and key M&E works, while maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, and client satisfaction.

  • Manage all M&E aspects of the project, collaborating with contractors and consultants to ensure specifications and standards are met.
  • E nsure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including the client, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the procurement and scheduling of materials, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource management.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including daily site reports, progress updates, and H&S documentation.
  • Review and monitor project budgets and costs, reporting any variances or concerns to senior management.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in managing complex M&E installations, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Showcase demonstrable experience of delivering refurbishment projects of 1m+ in value.
  • Display exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of contractors and subcontractors.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid qualifications are essential.
  • M&E-related qualifications and/or a relevant construction degree or diploma would be advantageous.

Salary: 300-320 per day,

About You

You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction to post-handover. Your primary objective will be to deliver the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. To achieve this, you will need to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including the client, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.

To succeed in this role, you will require a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and excellent communication skills. Your experience in managing complex M&E installations and delivering large-scale construction projects will be highly valued. Additionally, your ability to motivate and lead a team of contractors and subcontractors will be essential in driving project success.
