Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Financial Accounting to join our client's team on a short-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet, overseeing operational financial services, and supporting trust-wide financial planning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Finance Team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  2. Monitor and oversee outsourced Operational Financial Services to NHS SBS, including transactional procurement, payroll, and treasury management.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective financial controls and procedures.
  4. Provide technical guidance on VAT, capital, and lease accounting.
  5. Assist with budget holder training and financial reconciliations.
Requirements
  1. Qualified CCAB Professional Accountancy Qualification.
  2. Extensive experience in senior management roles within finance environments.
  3. Proven track record of developing and assuring financial controls, processes, and procedures.
  4. Strong understanding of technical and VAT accounting rules.
Estimated Salary

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience).
