About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker Team Leader to join our team in the Burwell-Cambridge area. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our client, a charming gentleman in his 70s who requires assistance with daily living tasks.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong command of English, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be required to drive our client's adapted motability vehicle and have access to a vehicle due to the client's village location.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality checks of support worker tasks and notes
  • Organize and chair team meetings
  • Check and authorize monthly timesheets
  • Approve annual leave and arrange cover as needed
  • Serve as the point of contact for staff regarding sick leave
  • Complete monthly wellbeing audits
  • Participate in the recruitment and induction of new staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • An enhanced DBS disclosure
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Good use of and understanding of English and communication skills
  • Prepared to commit to long-term care for one client in a person-centered way
  • Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
  • Respect for company policies and procedures
  • Reliability, non-judgmental, caring, responsible, and compassionate
  • Commitment to confidentiality and treating the client with dignity and respect
