ENT Consultant with Special Interest in Otology

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Otolaryngologist to join our team in Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. The successful candidate will be part of a clinical network providing ENT services to Highland, Western Isles, and West Grampian regions.

The post holder will have operating and outpatient sessions in Raigmore Hospital and will be expected to support our well-established ENT service with a specific interest in Otology.

The ideal candidate will be on the General Medical Council Specialist Register with a Licence to Practise or within six months of obtaining CCT in Otolaryngology at the time of interview.

Raigmore Hospital is a modern District General Hospital with extensive training responsibilities and clinical facilities comparable to University Teaching Hospitals.

The successful candidate will be part of a team providing a high-class clinical service to the population of the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ENT services to Highland, Western Isles, and West Grampian regions
  • Support our well-established ENT service with a specific interest in Otology
  • Participate in clinical network meetings and activities
  • Contribute to the development of the ENT service in the region

Requirements:

  • General Medical Council Specialist Register with a Licence to Practise or within six months of obtaining CCT in Otolaryngology
  • Experience in ENT services and Otology
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay.
