Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Doctor to join our team in General Adult Psychiatry at Royal Blackburn Hospital. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in adult psychiatry, with a focus on acute presentations and medium-term treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide care for psychiatric inpatients with significant mental health disorders
  • Undertake routine reviews, urgent assessments, and multidisciplinary team (MDT) and consultation work with the ward team
  • Refer acute physical health presentations to the relevant department
  • Develop and build on existing experience in adult psychiatry
  • Work collaboratively with medical and non-medical colleagues
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in psychiatry
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice
  • Section 12 Approved or eligible for approval
