Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Data Controller to join our team in Hemel Hempstead. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the sales forecasting and programme accounting processes for the NW Europe region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts for the NW Europe market, ensuring alignment with the latest commercial information.
  2. Manage programme accounting processes, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and unbilled amounts.
  3. Collaborate with the UK Financial Controller to ensure accurate accounting and forecasting.
  4. Prepare and present monthly market review forecasts and data submissions to Divisional HQ.
  5. Support the development of commercial variance explanations for internal reporting and external audit purposes.
  6. Contribute to the preparation of financial models supporting bids and tenders for programmes.
  7. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies regarding programme accounting and bids and tenders.
  8. Develop close working relationships with cross-functional teams to drive effective communication and issue resolution.
  9. Lead the revenue and order intake process for the annual budget and strategic plan.
  10. Utilize LEAN tools to refine and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the forecasting and budgeting process.
  11. Monitor and drive improvements in SAP data accuracy entered by sales and operations teams.
About You
  1. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  2. Good knowledge or experience of IFRS standards, especially IFRS15 accounting for programmes.
  3. Experience of commercial sales forecasting and analysis for decision-making.
  4. Commercially astute and used to working in an international, matrix environment.
  5. Professional, succinct, and confident communicator to senior leadership.
  6. Good MS Office/Excel, SAP, and management information systems (Oracle EPBCS) skills.
  7. Detailed knowledge of SAP programme accounting; WBS structures, ZPLANS, and reporting.
  8. Foreign language skills (especially Hebrew) an advantage.
