Aircraft Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Airbus Helicopters in Oxford, UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the movement and maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 fleet, ensuring continued safe operation of the aircraft.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
  • Carry out Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
  • Work to high standards to ensure the ongoing airworthiness of the aircraft.
  • Perform maintenance tasks including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical, and electrical systems in accordance with OEM instructions.
  • Conduct off-aircraft technical work in workshops as required.
  • Assist in day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
  • Familiarity with specialized test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS.
  • Understanding of CAA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
