Job Title: Night Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Manager to join our team at Mercure Haydock Park Hotel. As a Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Front Office operation, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction, and promoting the hotel brand's loyalty scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Front Office Manager in evaluating guest satisfaction and monitoring trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure regular and VIP guests are recognized and the Front Office department operates with a sales attitude.
  • Maximize room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
  • Represent the senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel.
  • Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office Team Members with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
  • Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area.
  • Maintain good communication and working relationships with all hotel departments.
  • Compile adequate handover to Early staff/Duty Manager.
  • Conduct monthly communication meetings and produce minutes.
  • Conduct Health and Safety Checks and Night Walks.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Front Office within the hotel, leisure, or retail sector.
  • Competent level of IT proficiency.
  • Good communication and excellent grooming standards.
  • Ability to work morning, afternoon/evening, and weekends.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences all the time.
