Job Summary

The post holder will be a member of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team, responsible for providing mental health assessments and interventions for children, adolescents, and families using evidence-based interventions presenting with neurodevelopmental disorders and other mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • To ensure high-quality CAMHS assessments of children and families referred to the service.
  • To monitor and review young people, including recording their physical observations in ADHD Clinic.
  • To complete assessments with young people referred, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of various therapeutic approaches either alone or as a member of the MDT, and including medication/physical reviews for those on medications.
Requirements
  • NMC mental health nursing qualification and registration.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in mental health services to postgraduate diploma level.
  • Experience of case management of young people, multi-agency working, and knowledge and experience of neurodevelopmental disorders.
