Job Overview

We're seeking an exceptional individual with a passion for data to lead our team of skilled professionals. You'll work closely with solution and data architects to deliver complex data and analytics solutions, leveraging cloud-based platforms and on-premise data analytics systems.

About the Role

In this challenging and rewarding position, you'll oversee the delivery of innovative data solutions, managing a team of Senior, Mid, and Junior Level Data and Analytics Engineers. You'll be responsible for designing and leading modelling, transformation, and cleansing of data into our enterprise data warehouse, catering to both technical and non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of complex data pipelines, working with various data sources, including databases, flat files, APIs, and event-driven data feeds.
  • Collaborate with solution and data architects to design and implement data warehousing projects, applying conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling techniques.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouse technology, preferably Snowflake, and key services like cloud storage, containerization, event-driven services, orchestration, cloud functions, and basic security/user management.
  • Drive Agile delivery methodologies, ideally using Scrum and/or Kanban, and develop strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrable experience in developing data pipelines and working with various data sources.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and ability to write complex queries across multiple platforms.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python would be beneficial.
  • Experience with data CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based tools like Azure DevOps.
  • A strong passion for data and ability to drive a data-first culture within the team and across the business.
