High Trees Community Development Trust is seeking a dedicated and passionate ESOL Literacy Support Worker to join our team. As an ESOL Literacy Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting learners to improve their reading and writing skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- To prepare resources for literacy support
- To provide one-to-one or small group support to learners who wish to improve their literacy skills
- To maintain a safe environment for learners, in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act and High Trees Safeguarding and Prevent procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience of teaching reading or literacy to children or adults
- Reliable and punctual attendance at sessions
- Good social and communication skills
- Ability to motivate ESOL learners and engage positively with them
- Positive and non-judgmental attitude
