About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Engineer to join our client's in-house team at one of their London-based student accommodation sites. As a key member of the facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining assets through planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and reactive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hands-on maintenance with a focus on plant rooms, including PPMs and minor repairs as appropriate
  • Liaising with external contractors for electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Fabric maintenance where required, including painting and carpentry
  • Point of contact for maintenance assistants on site
  • Supporting the maintenance manager in achieving 100% compliance in audit
  • Ensuring adherence to H&S policies and maintaining risk assessments and method statements
Requirements
  • Experience in a maintenance position within a commercial environment, ideally in a multi-floor residential setting
  • Experience working in plant rooms for PPMs, minor repairs, and maintenance, and liaising with specialist contractors as appropriate
  • Maintenance experience, including minor plant room repairs, minor plumbing, minor AC, and fabric repairs
  • PPM knowledge and H&S compliance awareness
  • Ability to work as a team and support assistants on site
