Job Title: Fabric Technician/Engineer

Job Type: Permanent

Location: London NW1

Salary: From £34,000 to £36,000 subject to experience level

We are seeking an experienced Building Fabric Engineer/Technician to join our team at SER Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the fabric of a prestigious static site in London, ensuring the upkeep of the building's structure, systems, and services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial building maintenance, with a level 2 qualification in carpentry, plumbing, decorating, or a related field. They will be proactive, able to identify and fix issues before they become major problems, and have excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the building's fabric, including painting, carpentry, basic plumbing, water testing, ceiling and floor tiles, and furniture building and moving
  2. Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent issues and ensure the building remains in good condition
  3. Work collaboratively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions
  4. Contribute to the development of maintenance plans and schedules to ensure the building's systems and services are properly maintained

Requirements:

  1. Strong working knowledge of building services maintenance
  2. Holding level 2 craft qualification (carpentry, decorating, etc.)
  3. Based in a commutable location to London NW1
  4. Must be a proactive engineer
  5. Ability to deal with plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.
  6. Must have commercial experience
  7. Very client-focused
