Administrative Support Specialist

Job Purpose: To provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Corporate Management Team, Executive Members, and Heads of Service, enabling them to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out research and tasks to enable Heads of Service to prioritize and make informed decisions quickly and effectively.
- Work as part of the PA network to provide administrative support during peak workload times and absences of other team members.
- Manage all contacts to the Heads of Service and Executive Members as the first point of contact for other professionals, politicians, and members of the public.
Requirements:
- Experience of working to a Senior Director/Elected Member
- Experience of managing projects
- High standard of numeracy and literacy with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Tact and diplomacy experience of dealing with highly sensitive matters
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience of working within a politically sensitive environment
- Ability to converse in Welsh
