About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate finance to drive business growth and deliver exceptional results. As a Senior Financial Institutions Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and executing M&A transactions, handling structuring, approval, and closing processes, and developing proposals and financing solutions for complex transactions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Take part in sourcing and executing M&A and capital markets transactions to drive business growth and deliver exceptional results.
  • Handle the structuring, approval, and closing processes of M&A, capital markets, and other financial transactions for strategic and sponsor clients.
  • Maintain strong connections with other teams, such as DCM, ECM, Acquisition Finance, Financial Markets, and Relationship Management, to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop proposals and financing solutions for complex transactions, leveraging your analytical skills and experience representing a team both internally and externally.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support transactional analysis and decision-making.
  • Prepare essential documentation for transactions, including legal documents and structuring papers, to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Lead and oversee a deal team to achieve established goals, guiding junior team members through the stages of deal origination and execution.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5-7 years of experience in M&A or Corporate Finance, with proven success in transactions involving strategic and sponsor clients.
  • Significant hands-on experience with M&A, DCM, ECM, and capital structuring projects, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex transactions.
  • Analytical skills and experience representing a team both internally and externally, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in English, with proficiency in an additional European language preferred but not essential.
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to build and maintain complex financial models.

Salary and Package

The estimated salary for this role is £120,000 - £180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses, health insurance, and retirement plans.
