Resource Planning Specialist

At Canon, we are seeking a skilled Resource Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning of our UK Production Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dynamically assess resource requirements and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands and maximize productivity.
  • Escalate problem calls, missed SLAs, or reporting issues as defined in the procedures.
  • Identify and escalate utilization issues to Service Management to ensure early identification of resource issues to prevent customer disruption.
  • Proactively communicate with customers, providing timely updates on the status of their requests and appropriate to the customer type.
  • Ensure optimal system functionality and resource utilization by meticulously ensuring housekeeping tasks are completed.
  • Ability to triage and identify best fit for allocation of incident to next resolver step.
  • Proactive planning of maintenance, modifications, ORS/eMaintenance connections, firmware updates, and related activities.
  • Work closely with teams across the organization to align operational strategies with business objectives and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Carries out call dispatch and book off when required and corrects mistakes in visit reporting, ensuring the integrity of the data.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement practical solutions that drive tangible results.

Requirements:

  • Customer Service background.
  • High level of accuracy, superior attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Remains calm under pressure and able to prioritize tasks and activities effectively.
  • Capacity to work in an environment focused on superior customer service and continuous business performance improvement.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems within time constraints.
