Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency with a strong reputation, has an exciting Locum opportunity available for an experienced Early Years Practitioner to work in the Slough area.

With a competitive hourly rate of £75, this contract offers a 3-month assignment from Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Childcare and Supervision: Provide high-quality care and supervision to all children, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs. Collaborate closely with local primary schools to ensure seamless transitions between early years and primary education, delivering fully integrated care and education.
  • Behaviour and Inclusion: Foster high standards of behaviour, discipline, and respect among children. Uphold and champion the setting's commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, promoting a culture of understanding and respect.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including those set by OFSTED, and maintain necessary records to comply with statutory standards, guaranteeing the highest level of professionalism.
  • Community Engagement: Help promote the setting to parents, schools, early years organisations, and the local community, building positive relationships and fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with staff from local schools, network childminders, and other agencies to deliver multi-agency services that benefit parents and children within the local area, driving collaboration and improving outcomes.
  • Meetings and Professional Development: Attend planning and staff meetings as required, actively contributing to the ongoing improvement and success of the setting, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Flexibility: Be ready to work in any of our Children's Centres or early years settings as needed, adapting to changing circumstances and contributing to a collaborative and adaptable team environment.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Early Years or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of one year of post-qualification experience in a similar role working with young children in an early years setting.
  • Proof of eligibility to work and reside in the UK, a current DBS check, and two professional references.
  • A valid UK driving licence with the ability to commute independently to and from work.
