As an Education Assistant with GSL Education in Watford, UK, you will be working closely with schools to provide support and cover for classes. This role is ideal for Teaching Assistants or aspiring education professionals seeking hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes across the curriculum in the absence of a teacher
  • Ensure pupils complete pre-planned work and manage their behaviour in a positive and safe learning environment
  • Liaise with staff to gather required resources and provide feedback on pupil attendance, engagement, and work completion

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher, or be a Graduate considering a career in education
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided)
  • Willingness to undertake additional training and courses for professional development
  • Empathy and excellent communication skills for working with young people

A valid Enhanced Child Only DBS is required. Estimated salary range: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum. GSL Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
