About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated driver to join our Refugee, Resettlement and Migration Service to undertake driving duties of an allocated vehicle to and from various locations, using a high level of professionalism in a safe and appropriate way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport customers to and from various destinations, ensuring their well-being throughout the journey.
  • Uphold professionalism and empathy when interacting with diverse groups of customers.
  • Load and unload customers' belongings and place them in the property with due care and respect.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day condition and cleanliness of vehicles.
  • Understand and adhere to all relevant procedures, including safeguarding.
Requirements
  • Hold a Valid UK driving licence including category D1 or PCV.
  • Be a positive role model in interactions with children and adults using the service.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to the values of West Sussex County Council and be compliant with key regulations.
  • Be physically able to undertake all required driving, transporting, and maintenance aspects of the role.
  • Be able to work as part of a committed and dynamic team to achieve the shared goal of delivering consistent and outstanding service.
