Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Anaesthesia to join our team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our anaesthesia service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for departmental colleagues in their absence.
  • Encourage and participate in research initiatives approved by the local Ethical Committee.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current anaesthetic procedures.
  • Support the Divisional Director and other professional colleagues in the management of the department.

Person Specification

  • Completion of an Anaesthesia for Neurosurgery SIA (minimum 6 months).
  • Holder of Certificate of completion of training (CCT) or within six months of award of CCT or equivalent by date of interview.
  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), or eligible for registration within six months of interview.
  • Record of regular attendance at National Specialty Meetings.
  • Experienced interventional neuroradiology for mechanical thrombectomy.
