About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine with an interest in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia to join our forward-thinking team at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Intensive Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing expert care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Contributing to the education and training of junior staff members
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Intensive Care Medicine and Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia. The ideal candidate will have:

  • MB ChB, MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • At least 8 years of experience in Anaesthetics, with at least 2 years in the UK
