Consultant Endoscopist

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Endoscopist to join the Digestive Diseases Centre within the Surgery, Anaesthesia & Critical Care Clinical Care Group. The DDC aims to develop a Centre of Excellence in North East London, providing a comprehensive endoscopy service to patients across the region.

The successful applicant will work with clinical teams in Gastroenterology, Colorectal and Upper GI Surgery, providing flexible cover for the endoscopy service in Queen's Hospital and King George Hospital. The Trust performs over 18,000 GI endoscopy procedures per year in JAG accredited units and aims to develop tertiary referrals for complex polyps.

The ideal candidate will have MRCP or equivalent, CCT in Gastroenterology, and full registration with the GMC. Experience in managing postgraduate training and a higher research degree are desirable.

Person Specification:

• MRCP or equivalent
• CCT in Gastroenterology/attainment of CCT via 'European Community Rights'
• Full registration with GMC
