Job Overview

This new substantive role has been created to facilitate expansion of the Intensive Care Unit and improve relationships with Barts Cardiac Centre. As a Critical Care Specialist - Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia, you will share the caseload, facilities, and trainee grade support with the existing consultants.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert critical care services to patients undergoing cardiothoracic anaesthesia
  • Working closely with the existing consultants to ensure seamless integration into the team
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the skills of other team members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • MB ChB, MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility within six months of interview
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience working in anaesthetics, including at least 2 years in the UK
