Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join our team at Chiswick. As a key member of our maintenance operations team, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the effective implementation of our Group Health & Safety Policy in day-to-day operations.
  2. Interpret and respond to client requirements, often outside of contractual obligations.
  3. Act as a liaison between site teams, engineers, and contract managers.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure ownership and accountability.
  5. Work independently with minimal supervision, using initiative as the contract manager is remote.
  6. Compile and analyze data sets as required.
  7. Provide effective communication and support to the contract coordinator and contract manager.
  8. Support the contract manager and central function with customer feedback, complaints, and escalations.
  9. Ensure adherence to administrative procedures and governance.
  10. Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret results and drive effective solutions.
  11. Able to travel to other QVC sites as required.
  12. Ensure Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and COSHH risk assessments are up-to-date and renewed as necessary.
  13. Maintain the PUWER register and request new equipment as required.
  14. Conduct regular PPE checks for the engineering team.
  15. Deliver technical PPM and reactive maintenance on your own tasks, ensuring the rest of the team meets their KPIs.
  16. Advise, train, and supervise the engineering team, utilizing company procedures and disciplinary processes as necessary.
Requirements
  1. NVQ level 3 in relevant trades.
  2. Fully time-served apprenticeship in given trades (desirable).
  3. ILM 2 Award in Leadership and Management (desirable).
  4. IPAF (site-dependent).
  5. PASMA (site-dependent) (desirable).
  6. Accredited Health and Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely) (desirable).
  7. Asbestos Awareness.
  8. Legionella Awareness.
Essential Skills and Experience
  1. Computer literacy, with a good understanding of modern office software and experience working with asset/work management systems (e.g., MAXIMO/CAFM systems).
  2. 1 year's experience in a supervisory position with an engineering maintenance company or equivalent.
  3. Familiarity with Android-style tablets and laptop computers.
  4. Customer and client focus, with >1 year's experience in a customer-facing outsourcing environment.
  5. Sub-contractor management, with 1 year's experience of supervising technical service providers, including issuing permits to work and access.
