About the Job
Vetro Recruitment is seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapeutic Support Worker for Vulnerable Youth to join our team in Shrewsbury. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people aged 14-17 who require emotional and behavioral support. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and independence of our clients.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young people. A car driving license is essential, as you may be required to transport young people from time to time. Experience as a Children's Support Worker or similar social care experience is desirable but not essential.

Our competitive salary of £27,336 - £30,336 per annum includes a sleep allowance, and we offer a range of benefits, including free meals on shift, a casual dress code, and access to discounts for shopping outlets, restaurants, and cinemas. Your Key Responsibilities
As a Therapeutic Support Worker for Vulnerable Youth, you will be responsible for:
• Supporting young people to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally in a setting where they feel safe and cared for
• Providing a therapeutic care environment that promotes the well-being and independence of our clients
• Ensuring the safety of the young people and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans
• Developing good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals
• Protecting children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
