About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rural Operative to join our team at Brunswick Training Camp in Surrey. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the Rural Estate, ensuring it remains in top condition for its intended use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate tractors and other rural plant machinery to perform essential tasks, including forestry work, arboriculture, track maintenance, and fencing repairs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance of tractors and other rural equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilise secondary skills in grounds maintenance, chainsaw operation, brush cutting, and herbicide application.
  • Adhere to and promote strict safety protocols while operating machinery, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience and qualifications in operating tractors with agricultural attachments.
  • Familiarity with conservation and agricultural work, with a solid understanding of the challenges and requirements of the sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, manual handling, and safe working practices.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Competent in map reading and basic IT skills.
  • Must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
