Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores and Materials Management Assistant to join our Procurement & Supply Chain department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective total supply chain management service to wards and departments across the trust.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Receiving, checking, and storing medical consumables and equipment
  • Processing and distributing stock to wards and departments
  • Performing stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Liaising with clinical staff and external suppliers to ensure smooth supply chain operations
  • Utilizing IT systems to manage stock and track orders

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience of working in stores/warehousing/retail or supply chain related environment
  • Basic knowledge of purchasing and supply chain related processes/activities/systems
  • Good organizational and analytical skills
  • Computer literacy
