Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Procurement & Supply Chain department at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust to join the Stores & Materials Management Team. As a key member of this dynamic team, you will play a vital role in the processing and internal distribution of all inbound deliveries and the provision of a trusted and essential medical consumable stock replenishment system across all departments in the trust.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The main functions of this role focus on the efficient and timely distribution of inbound deliveries, checking goods for accuracy against orders, localised picking of stock, stock checks on wards of medical consumables, creation of stock orders, and the delivery of items to departments. This role requires a reasonable level of physical activity, so a good level of fitness is essential.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in stores/warehousing/retail or supply chain related environment;
  • Good standard of education;
  • Basic experience/knowledge of purchasing and supply chain related processes/activities/systems;
  • Basic experience/knowledge of stock management principles;
  • Good organisational and analytical skills;
  • Computer literate.
