Stores and Materials Management Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores and Materials Management Assistant to join our Procurement and Supply Chain department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective total supply chain management service to wards and departments across the trust.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Receiving, checking, and storing medical consumables and equipment
- Processing and distributing stock to wards and departments
- Performing stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Liaising with clinical staff and external suppliers to ensure smooth supply chain operations
- Providing excellent customer service and support to our stakeholders

Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Experience of working in stores/warehousing/retail or supply chain related environment
- Basic knowledge of purchasing and supply chain related processes/activities/systems
- Good standard of education
