About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Procurement and Supply Chain team as a Stores and Materials Management Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the efficient management of our stores and materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to provide an efficient and cost-effective total supply chain management service to wards and departments across the trust.
  • Process and check inbound deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Manage stock locations, maintain a tidy and organized environment, and perform administrative duties as required.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, clinical staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Utilize IT systems to scan, order, and put away medical consumables, and maintain accurate records.

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in stores/warehousing/retail or supply chain related environment.
  • Basic experience/knowledge of purchasing and supply chain related processes/activities/systems.
  • Basic experience/knowledge of stock management principles.
  • Good standard of education.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English & Maths at grade C (desirable).
  • NVQ in either customer service, warehousing or stores/supply related activity (desirable).
