Job Title: Team Leader for Residential Adolescent Care

Headway Adolescent Resources Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Residential Children's Services team in Gloucester.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our Residential Support Workers in providing a high-quality living experience for young people in our care. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the needs of our young people are met, promoting their well-being, and aiding them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead Residential Support Workers to provide a high-quality childcare experience.
  • Work on shift to ensure the Home runs efficiently and effectively, creating a homely environment for young people.
  • Deliver supervision in accordance with company policy and comply with the Company's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
  • Support effective multi-agency working and positive relationships with staff, the local community, and other professional agencies.
  • Comply with company guidelines on Codes of Conduct and set an acceptable role model standard within the home.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of young people's Plans and support the reviewing and monitoring process in Care Planning.
  • Promote anti-discriminatory and equal opportunity practices in line with Company Policy.
  • Comply with legislation and company policies on Health & Safety, Fire, and Data Protection.

Essential Skills:

  • Good overall standard of education.
  • Working towards or hold Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
  • Previous experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior.
  • Good report writing and numeracy skills, well-organized with good administration skills, and IT literate.
  • Able to relate to young people with empathy and committed to a high standard of childcare.
  • Strong motivational, management, and leadership potential.
