This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand-new acute Mental Health service that's opening in the near future. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be an integral part of shaping the care pathways and building the culture alongside the senior leadership team. You will take on the Responsible Clinician (RC) responsibility for Dunnock View, a new service for women and men who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental disorders.

**Main Duties of the Job**

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for ensuring that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely, as well as managing medication, quality assurance, complaints and co-production, and delivering NICE guidance. You will also lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards. Additionally, you will be required to take part in the On Call Consultant rota.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely
* Medication management
* Quality assurance, complaints and co-production
* Delivery of NICE guidance
* Lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards
* Take part in the On Call Consultant rota

**Qualifications and Experience:**

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

* Medical qualifications, MRC Psych or equivalent
* Innovative and imaginative approach with the ability to initiate corporate decisions
* Essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental health
* Substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary issues in mental health, knowledge of and experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues
* Previous Consultant experience
