Join Our Team as a Consultant Psychiatrist

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand-new acute Mental Health service that's opening in Summer 2024. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be an integral part of shaping the care pathways and building the culture alongside the senior leadership team. You will take on the Responsible Clinician (RC) responsibility for Dunnock View, a new service for women and men who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental disorders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely
  • Manage medication, quality assurance, complaints, and co-production
  • Deliver NICE guidance and lead the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards
  • Participate in the On Call Consultant rota

You will also be required to take part in the On Call Consultant rota.

Requirements
  • Be medically qualified, MRC Psych or equivalent
  • Be innovative and imaginative with the ability to initiate corporate decisions
  • Have essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental health
  • Have substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary issues in mental health, knowledge of and experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues
  • Have previous Consultant experience
