About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented VMU Operations Coordinator to join our team at Allied Bakeries. As a VMU Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Vehicle Maintenance Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Compliance: Engage in our Safety-First culture and ensure compliance with Allied Bakeries' internal policies and procedures.
  • Shift Coordination: Achieve shift KPIs by organizing team members for their delivery, prioritizing shift workloads, and ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that vehicles are maintained in accordance with Company and DVSA standards, and liaise with the Transport and Logistics departments about vehicle availability.
  • Sub-Contractor Management: Ensure that established sub-contractors are effectively utilized.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication between shifts, VMU FLM/Manager, as required.
  • Personal Development: Identify and participate in the proactive environment of learning (1:1's) to ensure personal development and growth.
Requirements
  • Essential Skills:
    • Demonstrate a good level of Health and Food Safety awareness.
    • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Results-focused and able to handle conflicting priorities and pressures.
    • Customer-focused.
    • Good planning and organizational skills.
    • City and Guilds Qualifications or relevant equivalent in Vehicle Crafts.
