Empowerment through Support

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to join our team in Belfast. As a Support Worker, you will be instrumental in enabling individuals to live independently and make informed decisions about their lives. Our organisation, Positive Futures, is dedicated to empowering adults with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries or autism to take control of their lives. We believe in finding solutions rather than limitations, and we strive to make a significant difference in the lives of those we support.

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to enable individuals to live independently;
- Develop and maintain relationships with service users, families, and carers;
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver effective support strategies;
- Manage behaviours of concern through Positive Behaviour Support;
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Requirements:
1. 3 years of experience in a health or social care setting, or equivalent qualifications and experience;
2. At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or autism;
3. Proven skills in managing behaviours of concern through Positive Behaviour Support;
4. A full, valid driving licence or ability to travel independently;
5. Registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) or other relevant professional body.
