About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Assistant Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing individualized support to students and helping them to manage their behaviour and emotions. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEMH needs, be able to hold student attention and focus, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs
- Help students to manage their behaviour and emotions
- Engage with classroom activities and promote independence
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students' learning

Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs
- Ability to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
- Skilled in engaging with young people and promoting positive interactions
- Resilient and flexible, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum
