The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration and a passion for delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including document preparation, client interaction, file management, and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Preparation: Drafting, formatting, and editing legal documents like contracts, motions, briefs, and agreements. Proofreading documents for accuracy and legal compliance. Preparing and filing legal documents with courts or regulatory agencies.
  • Client Interaction: Acting as the first point of contact for clients. Answering phone calls, emails, and scheduling appointments. Handling confidential information and maintaining discretion.
  • File Management: Maintaining and organizing physical and digital case files. Managing correspondence, emails, and other documents related to cases. Ensuring files are up-to-date and easy to access.
  • Scheduling and Calendar Management: Managing attorneys' calendars, including scheduling meetings, court appearances, and deadlines. Organising and coordinating travel arrangements for attorneys if needed.
  • Research: Conducting basic legal research to find relevant laws, cases, or precedents. Gathering information for cases by reviewing files, court records, or other sources.
  • Court Procedures and Filing: Filing documents with the court in person or electronically. Keeping track of filing deadlines and ensuring timely submissions. Communicating with court clerks or opposing counsel when necessary.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Assisting with billing by tracking billable hours for attorneys. Preparing invoices and managing payment follow-ups. Handling expense reports and financial records.
  • Administrative Tasks: Managing office supplies, equipment, and resources. Taking dictation or typing up notes for attorneys. Performing general clerical tasks like photocopying, faxing, and mailing

This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a supportive working environment and opportunities for career development.
