About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pastoral Care Leader to join our team at Reddish Hall School, part of Acorn Education. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare, safety, and emotional well-being of our students.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading safeguarding strategies, developing effective plans to support students, and promoting equality and inclusivity. You will work closely with our leadership teams to establish functional strategies in all areas of pastoral care, providing expert advice and guidance where needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on effective safeguarding and pupil welfare strategies and plans
  • Develop and implement evidence-based systems to monitor positive handling support
  • Provide detailed advice on Positive Behaviour Profiles and Behaviour Support Plans
  • Monitor attendance and truancy issues, devising and implementing intervention strategies
  • Contribute to the review of relevant policies and assist with setting up internal systems as required
