About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our Technology Procurement team as the Head of Technology Sourcing. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the purchase and oversight of all technology at Spotify.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technology sourcing and procurement, vendor management, and cost engineering to drive business value and efficiency.
  • Develop, hire, and scale a high-performing team to support the company's technology needs.
  • Work closely with engineering leadership to understand how procurement can support and unblock their organizations.
  • Maintain healthy partnerships with strategic vendors, ensuring mutual value and benefits.
  • Lead service level agreements with vendors, optimizing value and addressing issues proactively.
  • Serve as the custodian for financial forecasting, cost clarity, and realization of cost savings for cloud and infrastructure-as-a-service providers.
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplined teams, with a strong background in technology, financial planning, and vendor management.
  • Significant experience working at or with leading cloud providers, with a deep understanding of critical technology for internet-based companies.
  • Immersed in the cloud landscape, with expertise in new technologies, vendors, tools, and partner management approaches.
  • Broad enterprise technology background, with experience building accountability mechanisms and resolving issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships between organizations.
  • Real-world program management skills, with experience leading decentralized programs and development source-to-pay processes.
  • Data-driven, with analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex messages to different personas.
Location

This role will be based in Stockholm or London, or potentially one of our other EMEA locations, with collaboration within the Central European and Eastern US time zones.
